Time has simply slipped away for the last two weeks and now I realise I haven't written post for a long while. My time has mostly been used up by work including revision and art coursework. Worryingly my GCSE exams are creeping closer and closer and its about time for me to start proper revision. I break up for Easter break tomorrow and although will be going away to France for part of my holiday I am planning on working hard and consistently. I thought it would be very useful for both you and me to come up with some tips for effective revision and studying. I have looked around online for scientifically proven tips on studying, as well as thought up some of my own advice.

1.  Find time to revise and scatter/space out study sessions. I know that my brain very easily becomes overloaded with facts and it is known that repetition and returning back to something you need to memorise is SO much more effective.

2.  For me, teaching really helps me to understand what I am revising. It, not only allows me to practice articulating exactly what I mean, but I can also then make sure I haven't missed out anything.

3. I know this is one you are continually told, and I am not very good at keeping this up, but getting out of your house, even its just for a little cafe trip, can really help tidy up your mind. Sometimes stress can get the better of me and I force myself to sit inside the entire day in front of my notes. I can definitely say i always feel much more pessimistic and discouraged when the day ends without having anything but study. So go outside!

4. Drink and eat well. I promise you that this will make you feel so much better. Your body and brains need sufficient energy and there isno other way to do this than eating. For me, spending the time making a delicious and beautiful breakfast, especially if I've got my favourite music playing loudly in the kitchen, can boost for a whole day of otherwise tedious revision.

5.  I've also heard that reading through the notes you've studied that day before bed, can be extremely beneficial.

6. Your work space is important. Give yourself the space to have an overview of any folders, papers and textbooks. Although I am not very good at keeping this up,I does help keep my mind clearer.  I personally also like to have candles on in the background to give a bit more of a hyggelig and cosy atmosphere.

7. Finally, I know for many, the internet is a huge distraction. Whether Facebook, twitter, Pinterest or Instagram is your thing, I know that they all suck time out of your day. What I advise is to remove your bookmarks e.c.t and keep your phone mostly away from your side, depending on your will power!

I hope these tips are useful or give you an insight into my own attitude to school work. Good Luck!

Last week I used this DIY turmeric face mask recipe from the gorgeous Ella Grace Denton's ever inspiring blog. Although in the picture I look very weird and the turmeric completely stains your face an ill-looking yellow colour it always feels good to be pampered.
I have heard i.e. seen on Pinterest many benefits of turmeric for your skin. For example, the very distinct smelling spice, is meant to leave glowing skin and reduce marks from pimples or ageing.
For me it didn't actually help that much and I woke up to another disgusting spot a few days later. However it was fun to try and its true that my skin was feeling super smooth and fresh afterwards. I think next time I will do it on a lazy weekend night it, when I have nothing to do and no one to see the next day because I was so worried about turning up to school the next day as a Simpson. For that reason I scrubbed and scrubbed at my skin with my face wash, and I probably counteracted  some of the turmeric's soothing benefits.

p.s. I have also heard that turmeric milk should be healthy for your insides too. It is meant to be helpful in tackling anything that may be cause you to feel coughy or ill and as well as detoxing/cleaning out your digestive system which is often linked with problems like acne. Maybe that is something to try next time.

These four looks are a few of my favourite street style outfits from fashion season around the globe.  I absolutely love these styles and they are definitely looks I would dream of wearing. In particular I adore dutch model, Romee Strijd's double denim in the bottom photo.
(I searched around of the internet to find these gorgeous snaps so unfortunately they clearly aren't my own.)

Monday morning last week, I jetted off before 6:30 to Copenhagen. I planned to travel by myself whilst my parents stayed at home, both too busy with work. I had an very independent week exploring the city with one of my best friends Maria who is half danish herself. I not only got a view of Copenhagen in a completely different way but also got a little taster of the freedoms of roaming/living in a beautiful city like Copenhagen independently. We made good use of the map from the airport but still got lost a couple of times, laughing sometimes at our directionlessness and complete disorientation. Most nights I moved from place to place i.e. I was lucky enough to get round and catch up with a number of family and friends. Everyone was SO welcoming, and thats why I was actually so confident in setting off going alone. For me , there was always someone I know nearby who could come and pick us up or recommend a place to visit.
Maria and I simply wandered through the streets of both central Copenhagen around Kogens Nytov, and a little further out in an area of Hellerup. We definitely weren't too busy and window shopping was a major activity. We found loads of time for cafes and cute little lunch spots such as Serenity Cupcakes, Original Coffee and Fedco's Deli. (all pictured) One day we were also set on splashing out on a big lunch at Sticks and Sushi (my favourite but very expensive sushi restaurant) but then opted for the nearby hot-dog stand instead. For me, this time to chill and just mooch around was much needed.

My week was also greatly filled with puppy loving like cuddling and icy walks in search of the next hot chocolate pit-stop.

I am off to Copenhagen this week for a couple of days of shopping and exploring the city with my good friend Maria, and I can't wait! I am so lucky to have friends and family that I can stay with and they all always make me feel so at home so I cannot wait to catch up and hygge with all of them too.

I found the shirt is the corner of my wardrobe yesterday and thought it was perfect for a chilled, saturday afternoon. It is actually from my local kids charity shop and I think is a boy style but nevertheless is super comfy. I layered it with a basic black and white striped t shirt, a simple gold necklace and a nice pair of blue jeans.

Last week these gorgeous furry hair bobbles arrived from a cute Swedish brand that I actually discovered through instagram. Their name is Pellobello, and they make well priced and absolutely amazing fur coats and accessories like these. Personally, I love these SOOOOO much and I think they are such a simple but different accessory. In particular I have used them loads for school as I usually just whip my hair up in a pony so it is out of the way and these furry bobbles add some colour and easily create a much more interesting look for the everyday!
I love all the colours and I am planning on buying some more as they are perfect little gifts for friends.  The blue colour, as you can see from these photos, is strikingly vibrant and bright, and the army/moss green is also amazing and is extremely in/trendy at the moment.

check them out here : www.pellobello.com
